Stephanie specialises in family law. She joined Chambers following successful completion of her pupillage under the supervision of Henry Trumpington. Prior to joining Staple Inn Chambers, Stephanie was employed as a prosecutor for the Probation Service, as an in-house advocate handling breaches of Community Orders, Suspended Sentence Orders and Custody Licences within the Borough of Westminster, attaining a comprehensive knowledge of the criminal justice system.
Within public law proceedings, Stephanie has experiences of complex fact-finding and welfare hearings involving sexual abuse, non-accidental injury, substance abuse and severe neglect. Stephanie regularly acts for parents, grandparents and guardians. She has particular ability in representing vulnerable clients, including those suffering from learning or mental health difficulties.
Within private law children proceedings, Stephanie advises and acts in child arrangement order disputes. She is frequently instructed to represent parents involved in complex private law proceedings, dealing with issues such as domestic violence, substance misuse, sexual abuse, emotional / psychological harm and risk of abduction. Stephanie has developed a reputation for combining a pragmatic and sensitive approach to cases with persuasive advocacy and shrewd negotiation skills.
